SBR Nexus makes business data exchange simple and reliable, setting the standard for how companies and financial institutions share information.
project info
SBR Nexus was founded by the major Dutch banks with a clear mission: to simplify and unify how business data is exchanged. Over time, the company had built a range of valuable services to make that possible, but these products began to feel disconnected, both from each other and from the brand itself. That lack of cohesion created confusion and eroded trust among users. Something needed to change
Together with the team, we set out to rediscover what connected it all. Through workshops and interviews with SBR Nexus, partner banks, and product users, we gained insights that shaped a shared direction. Instead of a full rebrand, we focused on a thoughtful brand evolution—building on what worked, and creating stronger unity between the company and its products.
Working closely with product owners at SBR Nexus and the banks, we guided them through every step of the process. The result was a refreshed brand language. One that feels stable, consistent, and ready to grow with future products.
A key challenge was working within limited time and budget. Rather than starting from scratch, we adapted existing motion and visual assets, refining and aligning them under the new brand direction. This approach allowed us to evolve the identity efficiently, reducing costs while still making a meaningful impact on how SBR Nexus presents itself today.
role
I was involved in every stage of the project: from early strategic decisions to shaping and documenting the visual language of the brand evolution. My role was to guide how we collaborated, both with the client and within the team, ensuring clarity and momentum throughout. I stayed closely connected to the bigger picture while also working hands-on whenever needed to bring ideas to life.
